you click over the e-mail of the person you received with the right mouse button, and then click properties, go to Details, Source Code, go in the last line where it says : Received From , will appear next to the IP number of the person.

Regarding Orkut , reporting the profile as fake and contact support requesting action.
Now, threat is a crime! Go to a police station and make a police report. Many people take advantage the apparent anonymity of the Web to do this sort of thing. You never know if someone is "playing scared" or is it something more serious. ---
