Redha I've used the 7.1, it was good. I was using Mandrake 8.1, was also good. The 8.2 should be a little better. Either of these two is good.
Installed yesterday to ELX Linux, and I'm finding it very good, better than the "old" Mandrke 8.1 ... no problems for now. ---

I prefer the Red Hat 7.3 to Mandrake 8.2 because of the speed and stability.
Mandrake is easier and more beautiful visually. < BR>
distros I've tried all the magazines that came out, and I get the Salckware8.1 which is faster than the RH and MDK together, and gives less stick in kde.
